Job Summary We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated 3rd Shift Caregiver to join our team on a part-time basis, specifically for Wednesdays, Fridays, and every other weekend. This individual is able to pick up additional available hours if willing. The ideal candidate will provide essential support to residents in our care facility, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being during the night shift. This role is vital in assisting individuals with daily living activities and fostering a supportive environment for those with various needs. This shift is an awake and active shift. Duties Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation. Provide personal care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities, Alzheimer's disease, dementia, and other memory care needs. Administer medications as prescribed and monitor vital signs as necessary. Maintain a clean and safe living environment for all residents by performing light housekeeping duties. Document resident care activities accurately using EMR systems. Engage residents in social activities to promote mental stimulation and emotional well-being. Utilize equipment such as Hoyer lifts safely when assisting residents with mobility. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care plans are followed. Qualifications Previous experience in assisted living, nursing homes, or long-term care settings is preferred. Familiarity with caregiving techniques for seniors and individuals with disabilities. Knowledge of first aid practices and ability to respond to emergencies effectively. Experience in memory care or working with individuals diagnosed with dementia or Alzheimer's disease is highly desirable. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, and team members. Ability to perform cleaning tasks as part of maintaining a healthy environment for residents. A valid driver's license may be required for transportation purposes within the facility or community.
