Job Description
Full-Time Traveling Caregiver Comfort Keepers
- Twin Cities
- East Metro and Western WI Full-time | Up to $23 per hour | Travel Required Join a team that cares.
Position Duties:
- Assists the client with activities of daily living by providing any of the Comfort Keepers approved personal care activities including, but not limited to: bathing, dressing, toileting, grooming, oral hygiene, and/or ambulation.
- Provides for a clean, safe, and healthy environment for clients and family members.
- Provides light housekeeping tasks including laundering of client's garments and linens and changing the bed.
- Assists in meeting nutritional needs by providing meal planning, meal preparation, grocery shopping, dishes, and kitchen clean-up.
- Reminds client to take self-administered medications.
- Observes and reports any changes in the client's mental, physical, or emotional condition or home situation to immediate supervisor in a timely manner.
- Establishes and maintains effective communication and professional relationships with clients, family members, and co-workers.
- Participates in continuing education programs, staff meetings, and client conferences as requested by immediate supervisor.
- Supports in the training and onboarding of new caregivers
- Conducts mentor shifts to help new caregivers acclimate to their environment or to assist existing caregivers in building their skills
- Complete required documentation of services delivered
- Maintains confidentiality regarding client information.
- Other reasonable related duties as assigned
Position Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Own a personal Vehicle and have a Valid Driver's License with Auto Insurance
- Able to pass criminal and driving background checks
- Previous experience working with Seniors-references required
- Exceptional Attendance Record History
- Superior customer service
- Open availability for client shifts
- shift refusal will affect weekly pay
- Excellent communication skills, verbal and written
- Able to bend, kneel, squat, stand and lift up to 25 pounds
- with no work restrictions
- Able to work in all homes including homes with dogs, cats, and a few smokers
- Able to assist both male and female clients with personal cares
