Job Description
Overview We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Caregivers to provide essential support and assistance to individuals in need of care. This role is vital in enhancing the quality of life for our clients, ensuring their comfort and safety while promoting independence. Caregivers will work in various settings, including homes, assisted living facilities, and group homes, providing personalized care tailored to each individual's needs. Responsibilities Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting. Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance the well-being of clients. Monitor and document vital signs and changes in client health status. Administer medications as prescribed and assist with care plans. Prepare nutritious meals and assist with meal planning and cooking. Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping tasks. Support clients with mobility challenges, including the use of Hoyer lifts when necessary. Engage clients in social activities and promote participation in community events. Provide specialized care for individuals with Alzheimer's, dementia, or developmental disabilities. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care. Skills CBRF and CPR certification is preferred. Experience in home health, hospice care, or long-term care settings is highly valued. Familiarity with patient observation techniques and monitoring vital signs. Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations to maintain client confidentiality. Ability to perform heavy lifting when assisting clients with mobility needs. Experience working with individuals with autism or other disabilities is a plus. Proficient in meal preparation and cooking nutritious meals tailored to client dietary needs. Knowledge of caregiving best practices, including memory care strategies for seniors. Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with clients, families, and healthcare teams.
