Duties Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support Monitor patients' vital signs and observe for any changes in health status, reporting findings accurately Administer medications following care plans and HIPAA regulations to ensure safety and compliance Support residents with meal preparation, feeding, and personal nutrition needs Use proper patient transfer methods such as Hoyer lifts or manual handling techniques to ensure safe mobility Maintain detailed documentation of patient observations, care provided, and progress in accordance with healthcare standards Assist with light housekeeping duties including cleaning resident areas to promote a safe and hygienic environment Provide companionship and emotional support tailored to individual needs, including Alzheimer's and dementia care Support residents during community outings or appointments using personal transportation assistance Follow all safety protocols including CPR, first aid, and emergency procedures to ensure resident safety at all times Experience Prior experience working with individuals with disabilities, neurodevelopmental disorders, or developmental disabilities support preferred Experience in group home settings or assisted living environments highly desirable Knowledge of patient monitoring techniques such as vital signs assessment and observation skills Hands-on experience with care plans, medication administration, and patient personal care assistance required Familiarity with manual handling equipment like Hoyer lifts and patient transfer methods essential Background in geriatrics or home health services is advantageous Certification in CPR and first aid is required; additional certifications such as HIPAA training or hospice care experience are a plus Join us as a Daytime Caregiver where your dedication transforms lives!
