What You'll Do As a supported living specialist, you will provide person-centered support that helps individuals build independence, confidence, and daily living skills. You will work alongside each individual to support their personal goals and participation in their home and community. Essential Duties Support individuals with daily living activities such as cooking, cleaning, organization, and maintaining their home. Teach and encourage individuals to develop and strengthen daily living skills. Build independence and confidence by encouraging individuals to make choices and participate in their daily routines. Support individuals in working toward their personal goals. Prepare meals and encourage participation in meal planning and preparation when appropriate. Complete household tasks such as cleaning, laundry, and organization. Attend medical, personal, and other appointments with individuals as needed. Run errands and assist with shopping and other community activities. Participate in recreational, social, and community activities. Maintain a safe, healthy, clean, and supportive living environment. Provide personal care and daily support based on each individual's needs, ISP, and care plan. Follow behavioral support strategies and provide consistent, respectful support. Observe and report changes in health, behavior, mood, or functioning. Respond appropriately to emergencies and follow established safety procedures. Complete required service documentation, daily notes, and other records accurately and on time. Communicate important information with supervisors, nurses, guardians, families, and other members of the support team. Protect individual privacy, confidentiality, rights, and dignity. Attend required staff meetings and training. Work cooperatively with other staff members to provide consistent support. Follow Tenth Home policies, procedures, training requirements, and applicable regulations. Required Qualifications Must be at least 18 years old. Must successfully complete required background checks and employment screening. Must complete required orientation and training. Must be able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing. Must be able to complete required documentation accurately. Must be able to perform the essential duties of the position. Must demonstrate reliable attendance and punctuality. Must be willing to work assigned shifts, including weekends and holidays as scheduled. Must be able to maintain professional boundaries and respect individual rights, privacy, and dignity. Must be able to work independently and as part of a team. A valid driver's license and reliable transportation may be required depending on assigned duties. Preferred Qualifications Previous caregiving or direct-support experience. CNA, DSP, personal care, or residential care experience. Experience supporting individuals with behavioral, medical, developmental, or other specialized needs. Experience teaching or supporting daily living skills. Experience working with individualized service plans or care plans. High school diploma or equivalent. Experience providing community-based support and transportation.
