Job Description

Abilities Midwest is expanding! Therefore, we are excited to be hiring Residential Program Staff . This staff will support adult individuals with Prader Willi syndrome at an Adult Family Home (AFH/ residential group home ) in River Falls, close to UWRF.
Job Duties:
Residential Program Staff are primarily responsible for assisting our residents with activities of daily living (ADLs). The residents being supported have minimal hands-on needs, so it will mainly be providing verbal prompting for most ADLs. Our residents are active and enjoy going on outings, playing games, working out, and being positive members of their community. Encourage community involvement by accompanying residents to a variety of community activities including, but not limited to - restaurants, sports games, movies, shopping, plays, and more! Provide cues to remind and encourage residents to complete household chores & personal care needs. Implement reward systems and provide praise to residents. Follow care plans, contribute to discussions on resident progress & future care plan goals. Provide accurate documentation using our online based care management system. Promote choice, personal growth, and independence for residents - within their home and the community. Communicate effectively with other team members and encourage an upbeat work environment for all. Residential Program Staff will work alongside other Residential Program Staff, in addition to working under the supervision of our management team. Schedule:
We are currently offering part time opportunities for every other weekend along with the possibility for a few second shifts during the week.

Abilities Midwest currently operates 4 residential programs throughout the state of WI and have been open in River Falls since July 2021. We are a relatively new company that is growing, and encourage advancement within the company, if desired. We strive to create a clean, healthy, comforting, active, and positive environment for our residents - to ensure the best quality of life for each and every one of them. Experience Prior experience in caregiving or working with individuals with disabilities is preferred and other applicable experience will also be considered. •Must have a clean background check and possess a drivers license.•
Pay:
$17.00 - $20.00 per hour
