Are you or someone you know passionate about working with and helping the youth? Positive Alternatives has openings part-time Youth Care Workers! If you share in our passion and mission to serve the youth join our River Falls team now! Positive Alternatives is a 501c(3) non-profit organization that serves at-risk youth in Wisconsin through community-based services and group home programming. Part-time positions are available. Youth Care Workers are members of our professional care team that provide support, encouragement, direct care, and mentorship to our teenage residents living in our group homes. Youth Care Workers work alongside residents to support achievement of treatment goals. Youth Care Workers engage with residents by participating in recreational activities, groups, meals, and other aspects of healthy and productive daily living activities while maintaining a therapeutic, safe, and supportive environment. Positive Alternatives part-time Youth Care Workers are scheduled a minimum of one weekday shift per week and two shifts every other weekend. Additional shifts may be available for individuals interested in working additional hours above the minimum requirement. Typical shifts for this position include: Weekdays
  • 3pm to 10pm Weekends
  • 9am to 3pm, 3pm to 11pm, and midnight to 6am Holidays (rotation)
  • 9am to 3pm, 3pm to 11pm, and midnight to 6am The position starting rate is $20.
00 per hour and includes an extra $1.00 per hour for shifts worked on weekends. The starting rate for all positions is adjusted based on verified education level. There are two opportunities in the first year of employment for pay increases. We are seeking team members who have experience with: Caregiving Working in schools or childcare Working in law enforcement or corrections Working at youth camps Volunteering in a helping role Some of the requirements of the position include: Must be at least 21 years of age Must be able to work evenings and weekends Must hold a valid driver's license Ability to navigate a computer to type and document daily activities Candidates for this position must complete background checks Candidates possessing a positive, caring, and resilient outlook do well in these roles To learn more about Positive Alternatives, visit our website at www.positive-alternatives.org.
