Responsibilities Assist residents or clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using equipment like Hoyer lifts or transfer belts Monitor patients' vital signs and observe their overall condition to detect changes or concerns promptly Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with feeding when necessary Administer medications following care plans and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect patient privacy Maintain a clean and safe environment through regular cleaning, sanitation, and organization of living spaces Support patients with memory care needs, including dementia or Alzheimer's care, utilizing specialized techniques and routines Document care activities accurately in accordance with healthcare standards and coordinate with healthcare professionals to update care plans Provide emotional support and companionship to foster a positive environment for residents or clients Assist with transportation or outings within the community to promote social engagement and activity participation Skills Proven experience in home & community care, assisted living, nursing homes, or long-term care settings Knowledge of patient observation techniques and vital signs monitoring Familiarity with Alzheimer's disease, dementia, autism spectrum disorders, and developmental disabilities care strategies Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and operate mobility aids such as Hoyer lifts or wheelchairs Strong understanding of medication administration protocols and HIPAA compliance Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members, residents, families, and healthcare providers CPR and First Aid certification to respond confidently during emergencies Experience working with individuals with disabilities or special needs in a supportive environment Capable of managing multiple responsibilities while maintaining attention to detail and compassion Embark on a rewarding career where your skills directly enhance the quality of life for those you serve.
