Responsibilities Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using safe patient lifting practices and equipment such as Hoyer lifts. Monitor and record vital signs regularly to ensure residents' health status is maintained and communicated to healthcare professionals as needed. Administer medications accurately following established protocols, maintaining compliance with resident rights and safety standards. Support residents with memory care needs, including Alzheimer's and dementia care, utilizing behavior management techniques to promote comfort and safety. Prepare nutritious meals in accordance with dietary guidelines, ensuring proper sanitation and cleanliness in the kitchen area. Maintain detailed documentation using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems for all care activities, medication administration, and incident reports. Engage in cleaning duties to uphold a hygienic environment that promotes health and safety for residents and staff alike. Communicate effectively with residents, families, and team members to ensure personalized care plans are followed and residents' needs are met compassionately. Support residents during group activities or outings within the community setting to foster social engagement and mental stimulation. Skills Proven experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or residential care homes with a focus on geriatrics or long-term care environments. Strong knowledge of dementia, Alzheimer's disease, memory care techniques, and behavior management strategies. Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely, including heavy lifting when necessary, while adhering to safe patient lifting practices. Familiarity with medication administration protocols and vital signs monitoring. Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or cognitive impairments in home or community care settings. Competence in operating EMR systems for accurate recordkeeping and documentation purposes. Valid CPR and First Aid certifications to respond promptly during emergencies. Excellent client communication skills coupled with a caring attitude that respects residents' rights and dignity. Ability to operate standard passenger vehicles safely when transporting residents or running community errands if required.
