Job Summary Join our dedicated team as an Adult Family Home Caregiver/Resident Assistant, where your compassion and hands-on skills will make a meaningful difference in the lives of seniors and individuals with disabilities. Duties Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility support Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature to track residents' health status Support residents with memory care needs, including Alzheimer's and dementia care strategies, ensuring a safe and calming environment Administer medications accurately following prescribed protocols and document all medication activities in compliance with regulations Prepare nutritious meals tailored to dietary needs and assist residents during meal times to promote proper nutrition Maintain a clean, organized living environment by performing light housekeeping duties and adhering to infection control standards Communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare teams to ensure comprehensive care plans are followed Follow resident's rights policies diligently while providing respectful, person-centered support in a residential or home care setting Engage residents in social activities or recreational programs to enhance mental stimulation and emotional well-being Experience Prior experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or residential care homes is highly preferred Demonstrated knowledge of dementia and Alzheimer's care techniques along with experience managing behavioral challenges Hands-on experience with medication administration, vital signs monitoring, and emergency response procedures such as CPR and first aid Familiarity with EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems or other documentation tools used in healthcare settings Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or cognitive impairments is advantageous Proven ability to perform safe patient lifting practices using equipment like Hoyer lifts or other manual handling tools Long-term care or home & community care experience that highlights your caregiving skills in diverse environments Join us in creating a nurturing space where compassion meets professionalism!
