Duties Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting to ensure comfort and hygiene. Monitor patients' health by taking vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature; observe and report any changes in condition or behavior. Prepare nutritious meals and assist with feeding while accommodating dietary restrictions and preferences. Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light cleaning duties and ensuring infection control protocols are followed. Document patient observations, care provided, and any incidents accurately in compliance with healthcare standards. Qualifications Previous experience working with individuals with disabilities, neurodevelopmental disorders, or in senior care environments such as nursing homes or assisted living facilities is highly preferred. Knowledge of care plans, patient monitoring, and resident's rights is essential. Certification in First Aid and CPR is required; additional certifications such as Hoyer lift training Ability to communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure personalized care delivery. Experience working with individuals with autism, dementia (including Alzheimer's disease), or memory care needs is a strong plus. Familiarity with HIPAA regulations to maintain confidentiality of patient information. Physical ability to perform heavy lifting, assist with patient transfers, and provide personal transportation assistance safely.
