Weekend availability is required to meet the needs of our clients and support their routines. Responsibilities Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using proper patient transfer methods such as Hoyer lifts and manual handling techniques. Monitor residents' health by taking vital signs, observing patient conditions, and reporting changes promptly to healthcare teams. Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with meal consumption to promote proper nutrition. Support medication administration following HIPAA guidelines and care plans established by healthcare professionals. Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning resident areas and ensuring infection control standards are met. Provide companionship and engage residents in meaningful activities that promote mental stimulation and emotional well-being. Document care provided accurately in compliance with HIPAA regulations and facility policies, including patient monitoring logs and incident reports. Experience Prior experience working in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health environments is highly preferred. Demonstrated knowledge of dementia care, Alzheimer's care, memory care, hospice care, and neurodevelopmental disorders supports effective caregiving for diverse needs. Experience with patient observation, medication administration, vital signs monitoring, CPR/First Aid certification, and resident safety protocols is essential. Familiarity with patient rights, HIPAA compliance, patient transfer methods such as Hoyer lifts, and manual handling techniques ensures safe and respectful care delivery. Background working with individuals with disabilities—including developmental disabilities or intellectual disabilities—strengthens your ability to provide personalized support. Strong communication skills for client interaction, team collaboration, and documentation contribute to seamless caregiving operations.
