As an Aide/Amap, you will play a vital role in assisting residents with daily activities, ensuring their safety, comfort, and dignity while fostering a warm and supportive environment. Responsibilities Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility support Monitor vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature to ensure residents' health stability Support residents with memory care needs, including those living with Alzheimer's or other forms of dementia Administer medication as directed by healthcare professionals following proper protocols and documentation procedures Engage residents in social activities and provide companionship to promote mental well-being Follow safe patient lifting practices and manual handling techniques to prevent injury during transfers or repositioning Maintain accurate records using Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems and document any changes in residents' conditions or behaviors Skills Prior experience in assisted living, nursing homes, or residential care environments is highly desirable Knowledge of dementia care, Alzheimer's care, and memory support strategies Ability to perform first aid and CPR confidently in emergency situations Strong communication skills for effective interaction with residents, families, and team members Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or cognitive impairments Familiarity with medication administration protocols and resident rights adherence Physical capability for heavy lifting and long periods of standing or walking; manual handling expertise is essential Join us in creating a caring environment where every individual receives respectful, personalized support.
