Job Summary Join our compassionate team as a Personal Care Aide on
MIDNIGHT
SHIFT and WEEKENDS, where your dedication and caring nature will make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals requiring assistance with daily activities. In this vital role, you will provide personalized support to residents in various care settings, ensuring their safety, comfort, and dignity. Your proactive approach and attentive care will foster a nurturing environment that promotes independence and well-being. Duties Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting to promote personal hygiene and comfort Monitor patient health by observing vital signs, reporting changes, and maintaining accurate care plans in compliance with HIPAA regulations Support medication administration under supervision, ensuring proper documentation and adherence to prescribed schedules Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist residents with meal consumption when necessary Facilitate patient transfers using appropriate methods such as Hoyer lifts or manual handling techniques, ensuring safety for both resident and caregiver Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light cleaning duties and adhering to infection control protocols Provide companionship and emotional support, fostering positive communication and respecting residents' rights and preferences Skills Prior experience working in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health environments is highly desirable Strong patient observation skills to detect changes in condition or behavior promptly Knowledge of dementia care, Alzheimer's care, memory care, hospice care, and support for individuals with neurodevelopmental or developmental disabilities Ability to operate medical equipment such as blood pressure cuffs or Hoyer lifts safely and effectively Excellent communication skills for engaging with residents, families, and healthcare team members Familiarity with HIPAA regulations to ensure confidentiality of patient information Ability to perform physical tasks including heavy lifting, manual handling, and patient transfers while maintaining safety standards Experience assisting with complex care plans involving medication administration or specialized therapies such as CPR or first aid certification is advantageous Join us in providing compassionate caregiving that enhances lives every day!
