Job Description

Collins Law, LLC is seeking an organized, compassionate, and results-driven Closing Case Manager to manage personal injury cases through the settlement and closing process. This role works directly with clients, attorneys, insurance adjusters, medical providers, and lienholders to coordinate settlement negotiations, resolve outstanding balances and liens, complete settlement documentation, and facilitate final disbursement. The ideal candidate is a strong communicator and problem-solver who can confidently discuss settlement offers with clients, manage multiple cases and deadlines, and proactively move cases toward successful resolution and closure.
Responsibilities:
Manage Cases Through Closing:
Manage assigned personal injury cases through settlement, disbursement, and final closure, ensuring deadlines, documentation, and outstanding items are completed timely.
Client Communication:
Maintain regular contact with clients, address questions and concerns, and coordinate with Attorneys and insurance adjusters.
Settlement Preparation & Resolution:
Prepare and review settlement statements and closing documents; verify case expenses, medical balances, liens, and other deductions; and coordinate reductions with providers and lienholders when appropriate.
Client Meetings & Disbursement:
Meet with clients to review settlement paperwork, obtain signatures, explain final settlement distributions, and coordinate settlement check disbursement.
Follow-Up & Case Documentation:
Communicate with insurance companies, medical providers, lienholders, and other parties to resolve outstanding matters; maintain accurate case notes and documentation; and ensure files are complete before closing.
Team Collaboration:
Work closely with Attorneys, Legal Assistants, and other team members to identify and resolve issues and keep cases moving efficiently toward closure.
Qualifications:
Prior experience in customer-facing banking, finance, or accounting preferred. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the confidence to discuss financial information and sensitive matters directly with clients. Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills. Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple cases, deadlines, and priorities in a fast-paced environment. Strong numerical and analytical skills with the ability to review settlement statements, medical balances, liens, expenses, and other financial information. Proactive, dependable, and accountable, with the ability to take ownership of cases and follow through without frequent supervision. Compassionate, professional, team-oriented, and committed to providing exceptional client service. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and case management software.
