2+ years in Medi-Cal administration or healthcare administration Join a Growing Team That Makes a Difference Medi-Cal Consulting Services is seeking a motivated, organized, and service-focused Assistant Case Manager to join our growing Corona-area team. This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment, learns quickly, and takes pride in helping clients navigate important healthcare-benefit processes. The Assistant Case Manager reports to the Chief Operating Officer (COO) . What You'll Do In this role, you will receive training to learn all aspects of the Medi-Cal case-management process, including the requirements and documentation involved in helping applicants qualify for Medi-Cal benefits.
Key responsibilities include:
Supporting Medi-Cal cases from initial intake through completion Communicating professionally and compassionately with clients Organizing, reviewing, and maintaining case files and documentation Tracking deadlines, follow-up items, and case progress Updating checklists, spreadsheets, reports, and internal systems Managing multiple priorities with accuracy and a sense of urgency Collaborating with team members to provide an excellent client experience Learning and following established Medi-Cal procedures and company workflows What We're Looking For The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, and comfortable taking initiative. You should be able to work independently while contributing positively to a collaborative team.
Required qualifications:
At least two years of experience in Medi-Cal administration or healthcare administration Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong organizational and time-management abilities Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy Ability to prioritize responsibilities and manage multiple cases or assignments Proficiency in Microsoft Office and the ability to learn new software Experience working with spreadsheets, checklists, reports, and filing systems Strong follow-through and a commitment to meeting deadlines Professional, patient, and customer-focused communication skills A team-oriented attitude and willingness to support others Ability to learn quickly and work with an appropriate sense of urgency Why This Opportunity Stands Out Consistent full-time, four-day workweek (4/10's) Meaningful work helping individuals and families navigate Medi-Cal Opportunity to expand your knowledge of Medi-Cal case management Collaborative environment within a growing consulting organization If you are an organized self-starter who values accuracy, teamwork, and outstanding client service, we encourage you to apply.
