The Orange County Rescue Mission is a faith-based organization committed to serving the homeless population of Orange County, California.
Position Overview:
The Rescue Mission is looking for a Case Manager to work with our adult program students on their journey towards self-sufficiency through Biblical counseling of accountability, mentoring, instruction, and coordination of services.
Schedule:
This is a full-time position scheduled for 40 hours per week.
The shifts are primarily:
Schedule A:
Tuesday
  • Saturday, hours TBD.
This role will be included on the Sunday rotation.
Schedule B:
Sunday
  • Thursday, hours TBD.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist students through biblical counseling, listening, prayer, and by helping them complete their Individualized Program Plan, which may include resolving scheduling, relational, and programmatic conflicts, family reunification, and parenting programs. Help students identify goals and implement a plan to achieve them. Become aware of students' gifts and talents, and encourage growth in various areas. Teach new life skills and coping mechanisms to replace negative behavior with positive behavior. Hold weekly group meetings to provide peer support and help students overcome life challenges. Meet weekly with each assigned student to assess progress and provide case management counsel. Adhere to all program criteria and use electronic reporting systems to track progress and plan deviations. Fully participate in implementing program changes and directives from management. Ensure quality and coordination of services, assess and monitor progress of individual students, address challenges, maintain record keeping, and conduct chart audits.
Minimum Qualifications:
A personal relationship with Jesus, a good working knowledge of the Bible, and membership in a local, Bible-believing church, as well as a signed acknowledgment of the Statement of Faith Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as social work/counseling or ministry, and six months of related work experience. An equivalency may be made with a combination of some education and more related work experience; please inquire if applicable.
