68 Job Summary Program Description Who We Are The Neurodevelopmental Services program uses the power of interpersonal neurobiology, trauma-informed care, and neurodiversity-affirming practices to provide treatment, training, and research with neurodivergent and disabled communities. Our goal is to impact to neurodivergent and disabled communities by providing local and global treatment, training, and research that celebrates and honors their unique contributions. We work to promote a world in which resilient, self-determined individuals are supported by authentic, compassionate, and connected communities. Who We Serve Pacific Clinics' Neurodevelopmental Services program serves neurodivergent (e.g., autism, intellectual/developmental disabilities, ADHD, trauma, etc.) children, transitional age youth, adults, and families throughout San Bernardino and Riverside counties. We offer crisis stabilization services, educationally related mental health services, play therapy, neurofeedback, Safe and Sound Protocol, EMDR and other developmentally appropriate services. Under direct supervision, provides case management support to ensure neurodiverse-affirming practices, crisis stabilization, and placement in the least restrictive home setting for neurodivergent clients (i.e., autism, intellectual/developmental disabilities). Promotes client dignity and right to self-determination in all aspects of services. Responsibilities Collaborates with neurodivergent clients, caregivers and ancillary services providers to ensure long term community-based natural supports, including mental health services, specialty medical care providers, respite care, applied behavior analysis therapy, educational services, independent living, financial supports, housing, social security, in home support services, and more. Provides intensive short-term crisis supports and safety planning to neurodivergent clients and their families. Meets with neurodivergent clients and caregivers in home and community settings, developing a helping relationship and ensuring needed supports and services are provided. Supports neurodivergent clients and caregivers to facilitate a stabilization of crisis and maintenance in the least restrictive home placement. Builds and supports family and community connections and natural supports, empowers families, and facilitates visits. Maintains ongoing communication and provides pertinent information to and coordinates with authorized representatives and other team members, participating in meetings, such as client/family teams. Provides initial and ongoing assessment of client and family strengths and needs. Develops, reviews, updates and ensures implementation of strength-based service plans for each client including safety plans, and legal issues, as needed. Rotates participation in crisis quick response services for after hour emergencies to de-escalate crisis and respond in person if necessary. Meets productivity and quality expectations and other performance goals as defined. Completes all documentation in compliance with agency and regulatory requirements. Performs other related responsibilities, as assigned, to support specific department/business needs. Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Social Work, Social Welfare, Education or related field and one (1) year of experience required, or equivalent combination of education and experience (two years of relevant experience equals one year of education). Physical Requirements Must remain physically fit enough to keep clients and self safe. While performing these job duties the employee is required to perform the following physical tasks when the need arises: Employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop; kneel, crouch or crawl; talk or hear; taste or smell. This also includes the ability to: Move quickly/run If program requires, employee must pass an initial physical abilities test (PATS) and be certified in crisis intervention techniques within the first 30 days and annually. If employed at a Neurodevelopment Services location, employee is required to perform and pass a Human Performance Evaluation Test at a designated company clinic.

This will include testing for:

lifting, pushing/pulling, repetitive coupling, static weight, and other required movements. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Level of Contact with Children May/will have unsupervised contact with children Requires physical, including TB Test Driving Priviledges May be called upon to drive on agency business. Needs acceptable MVR and appropriate insurance coverage Driving Required Will not have unsupervised contact with children. Requires full background check and TB Exam.
