Job Title:

Position Overview:

    2 affordable rental housing communities for seniors, families, and individuals who have experienced homelessness
  • Compensation:
    $27
  • 29 per hour (DOE)
  • Schedule:
    Full Time (40 hrs./wk.)

    Onsite (Not Remote)

Position Goals and Objectives:
As a Resident Service Coordinator at MJ Housing & Services, you will play a pivotal role in helping residents stay in safe and affordable housing for as long as possible.
Your primary responsibilities include:
  • Creating intakes, assessment, and referral services for seniors and adults with disabilities.
  • Offering ongoing case management to individuals in need of support to connect with and utilize existing community resources.
  • Developing and implementing individual service plans for residents requiring ongoing case management.
  • Establish and maintain community partners.
  • Organize a minimum of 1 education and 2 social events monthly.
  • Maintaining accurate, timely, and confidential documentation on all clients served.
  • Serving as an advocate for residents to ensure they receive all eligible services.
  • Collaborating with the quality assurance staff to meet program outcome measures.
  • Providing monthly input for written reports and attending quality assurance team meetings.
Team and Collaborative Dynamics:
  • Report to the Quality Assurance Supervisor and Lead Service Coordinator.
  • Work collaboratively with onsite Property Management, regional team members, and community partners to assist residents with move-in requirements.
  • Opportunities for in-person collaboration, including annual in-person MJ Retreat.
  • Possibility to become a mentor after 6 months of employment.
Qualifications/Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Social Work or related field. Equivalent social service experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
  • Minimum of three to five years of experience in social service delivery or case management
  • Bilingual Spanish preferred
  • Working knowledge of Federal, State, and local laws related to elderly and disabled programs
  • Working knowledge of veteran services, homelessness programs, and housing stability resources, including assistance programs, case management, and supportive housing options.
  • Understanding of the physical, mental, and social changes associated with disabled populations, veterans, and/or previously unhoused.
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of supportive services available in the local community
  • Computer literacy in Microsoft Office required
  • HMIS or similar case-management software experience preferred
