Job Description
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Case Manager to join our team. As a Case Manager, you will provide administrative support to our legal team and assist with various tasks related to legal proceedings and document management.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct legal research and gather relevant information for cases
- Assist with the preparation and filing of legal documents, such as pleadings, motions, and briefs
- Organize and maintain legal files and documents
- Schedule appointments, meetings, and court hearings
- Prepare correspondence and communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel
- Manage calendars and deadlines for attorneys
- Assist in the preparation for trials, hearings, and depositions
- Transcribe dictations and prepare accurate summaries of legal documents
- Perform data entry tasks to update case information in document management systems
Skills:
- Strong phone etiquette and professional communication skills
- Knowledge of paralegal procedures and legal terminology
- Proficient in data entry and document management systems
- Ability to conduct legal research using resources such as Lexis-Nexis
- Familiarity with document review processes
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Strong clerical skills, including typing, filing, and record keeping
