The Guardianship Program of Dade County is looking for an Entitlements Coordinator to join our mission-driven team. In this role, you'll play a critical part in helping vulnerable adults obtain and maintain the government benefits and financial resources they need to protect their health, safety, and quality of life. You'll work closely with Case Managers, government agencies, healthcare providers, and community partners — managing benefit applications, annual renewals, eligibility reviews, and representative payee processes, all while ensuring timely follow-up and full regulatory compliance. What You'll Do Prepare, submit, and track applications for Social Security, Medicaid, VA benefits, pensions, and other government and private benefit programs. Manage annual renewals, redeterminations, and eligibility reviews to keep clients' benefits active. Serve as the go-to liaison with agencies such as the Social Security Administration, DCF, the VA, USCIS, and pension administrators. Track deadlines, maintain accurate documentation, and keep client activity current in the case management system. Partner with Case Managers, healthcare providers, legal counsel, and financial staff to gather documentation and resolve benefit issues quickly. Research benefit eligibility, investigate denials, and follow applications through approval. Support clients with Qualified Income Trusts (QITs), Supplemental Needs Trusts, and Medicaid eligibility requirements. Stay current on federal and state benefit regulations and share key updates with the team. Qualifications Associate's degree in Business, Social Work, or a related field preferred (or an equivalent combination of education and experience). Minimum of two (2) years of experience in social services, public benefits, case management, healthcare administration, or a related field. Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail. Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and the ability to learn case management software. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
