Schedule :
Full-time (40 hours/week) Must be available to work Saturdays . Some evenings, holidays, and on-call responsibilities may be required. Idaho COBS is a nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering survivors of human trafficking through trauma-informed, survivor-centered care. We provide comprehensive wraparound services, including safe housing, case management, advocacy, counseling referrals, life skills development, and community resources to help survivors achieve long-term independence and healing.
Position Summary:
The Case Manager serves as a primary advocate and support person for survivors of human trafficking enrolled in Idaho COBS programs. This position is responsible for providing compassionate, trauma informed case management while helping clients establish goals, access resources, maintain housing stability, and work toward self-sufficiency. The ideal candidate is organized, compassionate, professional under pressure, and able to maintain healthy boundaries while working with individuals who have experienced significant trauma.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
Provide trauma-informed case management to survivors of human trafficking. Develop individualized service plans and assist clients in achieving personal goals. Conduct intake assessments and ongoing needs assessments. Assist clients in obtaining identification, benefits, housing, employment, education, healthcare, and other community resources. Maintain regular contact with clients through office visits, home visits, phone calls, and transportation as needed. Accurately document all client interactions and services provided. Maintain confidential client records in compliance with agency policies and applicable laws. Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and case reviews. Assist with crisis intervention and safety planning. Support residents in Idaho COBS safe housing while encouraging accountability and independence. Teach life skills including budgeting, meal planning, communication, parenting support, and healthy relationships. Coordinate with probation/parole officers, attorneys, treatment providers, law enforcement, medical professionals, and other community partners. Assist with program operations, donation distribution, and client needs as assigned. Participate in outreach events, trainings, and community education opportunities when needed. Complete other duties as assigned by leadership.
Qualifications:
Experience working with vulnerable populations preferred. Knowledge of trauma-informed care and victim advocacy is highly desired. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Excellent organizational and documentation skills. Ability to maintain professional boundaries while building trusting relationships. Ability to remain calm during crisis situations. Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and current auto insurance. Ability to pass a background check. CPR/First Aid certification preferred (or willingness to obtain).
Preferred Experience:
Human trafficking advocacy Domestic violence or sexual assault services Behavioral health or substance use treatment Social work, psychology, criminal justice, or related field Nonprofit or community-based services
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift up to 30 pounds. Ability to drive throughout the Treasure Valley and surrounding areas. Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, and climb stairs as needed. Contractor Status:
This is a 1099 Independent Contractor position. Contractors are responsible for their own taxes, insurance, and applicable business expenses. This position is not eligible for employee benefits. Pay $21.00 per hour Full-time (approximately 40 hours per week)
