Job Description

Degree Requirement:
Min. High school degree; AA or BA preferred.
Other Requirements:
Valid driver's license with a fully insured and reliable vehicle to be used in the course of daily work.

Worked in the PRP or mental health care setting; at least three (3) years providing direct services and working with adults; (2) years providing direct services working with minors. Candidate must be computer literate and demonstrate strong organization, time management and writing skills.
Responsibilities:
Attend scheduled training to learn about new developments in counseling by reading professional literature, attending courses and seminars, or establishing and maintaining contact with other social service agencies. - Gather information about community mental health needs or resources that could be used in conjunction with therapy. Prepare and maintain all required treatment records and reports through data collect obtain through interviewing and observation of clients. Maintain confidentiality of records relating to clients' treatment. Encourage clients to express their feelings and discuss what is happening in their lives, helping them to develop insight into themselves or their relationships. Work with clients to help improve and maintain social and anger management skills, daily living skills, conflict resolution strategies, etc. Guide clients in the development of skills or strategies for dealing with their problems. Refer clients or family members to community resources or to specialists as necessary. Act as client advocates to coordinate required services or to resolve emergency problems in crisis situations. Provide family members with assistance in helping them how to understand, cope with, and supporting client. Meet with adults/ minors for the required structure time and focus on the client goals as outlined in the clients Individualized Rehabilitation Plan. Prepare and submit weekly progress and contact notes in a timely manner Contribute to updating to the client's Individualized Rehabilitation Plans as required
