Job Description
Housing Support Advocate
QUALIFICATIONS 1.
Bachelor's Degree in social work, psychology, human services or related field, required. 2. One to three years of experience in case management, information and referral, direct service and/or advocacy required. 3. Willingness to work with low-income/homeless persons struggling to achieve self-sufficiency. 4. Computer skills required. 5. Knowledge of community and educational resources available within area of responsibility. 6. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. 7. Excellent verbal/written communication skills. 8. Must be able to achieve HMIS certification within the first 40 hours of employment. 9. Must have a valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and ability to travel within the service area. 10. Must be able to travel to, and conduct, regular home visits. 11. Must be sympathetic to the goals of a Community Action Agency. 12. Must successfully pass all agency required background checks. WAGE $23.00/hour plus agency fringe benefits Fringe benefits include, but are not limited to, four-day workweek, health insurance, life insurance, paid time off, and 11 paid holidays per year.WORK LOCATION
