Job Description

Overview We're looking for a dependable, organized person to work one-on-one with an adult client in her home, helping her stay on top of the administrative and daily-living side of her life.
The work is primarily organizational:
planning, problem-solving out loud, tracking appointments and deadlines, and following through together. The client works from an occupational therapy framework of goal, plan, do, review . Each session begins by setting goals for the day and catching up on anything that's come up since the last visit. Together you write a plan for tackling those goals, work the plan, and review afterward what worked and what didn't. Comfort with that structure — and the patience to keep returning to it — matters more than any specific credential. 15-16 hours per week. Days and times are flexible. Responsibilities Break larger tasks into manageable, written-out steps Talk through how to approach issues as they arise Check in on progress with tasks she works on independently between sessions Track appointments, deadlines, and medication schedules so nothing is missed Sort, organize, and file mail Occasionally assist with following a recipe, or accompany her to the pharmacy or grocery store Document each session per agency requirements Qualifications Naturally organized, and able to bring that structure to someone else without taking over the task for them Patient and steady — the role is about supporting her in doing things herself, not doing them for her Reliable and consistent; showing up on the same schedule week to week is a large part of the value Clear written and verbal communication Comfortable with calendars, forms, online portals, and paperwork Respectful of privacy and able to maintain confidentiality Must pass a Minnesota Department of Human Services background study (NETStudy 2.0) Valid driver's license, reliable vehicle, and current auto insurance
Pay:
$25.00 per hour Expected hours: 16.0 per week
