Job Description
The hiring range for this position is $56,520 - $63,211. The full range for this position is $56,520 - $79,064. The Financial Assistance Case Aide is responsible for providing clerical, administrative, and client support within the Health and Human Services Financial Assistance Department. Responsibilities include assisting clients with applications and documentation, maintaining records and databases, coordinating reports and files, and supporting Financial Assistance staff in delivering services related to cash and food assistance, medical coverage, childcare, housing, transportation, and other programs. Provide administrative and program support to Financial Assistance Supervisors and staff to ensure efficient operations and coordination. Assist clients and the public by explaining program requirements, completing applications, and making referrals to appropriate community resources. Conduct client interviews and screen for expedited case eligibility; complete expedited interviews as necessary. Prepare, enter, edit, and maintain client records, reports, and documentation using state, federal, and agency computer systems. Generate and distribute reports, including weekly pending reports and assigned DHS reports (e.g., claims reconciliation, SMRT, HCBS waiver reviews, TLR cleanup, Account Validation System). Review applications, case files, and forms for accuracy and completeness; perform peer and quality reviews (including CAPRS, PARS, and MA Audit Criteria). Track deadlines and due dates; create reminders for staff regarding redeterminations, applications, and required verifications. Under supervision, determine eligibility for cost-effective insurance programs and process reimbursements; assist with transportation applications, arrangements, and payments. Process verification requests for clients applying for additional programs, services, or benefits. Perform general office support tasks, including copying, scanning, faxing, filing, typing correspondence, processing mail, and handling returned mail. Provide backup support for office support functions as needed. Perform other duties as assigned of a similar nature or level. High school diploma or GED. Two (2) years of administrative support or related experience. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. Moderate to high proficiency in Microsoft Word, Adobe Acrobat DC, Excel, and state/federal computer systems.

Recordkeeping and training principles. Applicable federal, state, and local laws, rules, and regulations. Computers and related software applications.Skills:

Preparing reports, referrals, and evaluations. Maintaining accurate records, files, and databases. Conducting research to support client services. Managing multiple tasks, deadlines, and program requirements. Using computers and related software applications. Demonstrating strong communication and interpersonal skills when interacting with coworkers, supervisors, clients, and the public.Physical Requirements:
Ability to sit or stand for extended periods while working on a computer or assisting clients. Ability to occasionally lift and carry materials or supplies up to 25 pounds. Ability to bend, reach, stoop, and perform light filing or document handling tasks. Ability to work in a standard office environment with frequent use of phones, computers, and office equipment. Ability to perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.Additional Information:
