Job Description

H-2A Worker Placement Coordinator (WPC) This position oversees worker placement for clients throughout each season for all clients. It includes ensuring that clients know when their paperwork is at the stage at which they should begin considering and choosing workers, making sure we and our recruiters provide enough candidates for them to consider, and we assist them in checking references, interviewing, and making their final choices to place on their crew list. This position works very closely with two other people, a Placement Agent and Receptionist/Assistant, interacts frequently with recruiters in South Africa, Europe, Australia, and elsewhere, as well as the rest of the staff, and reports directly to a Supervisor.
Duties/Tasks:
Create and maintain a Placement sheet for each season showing all current employers, how many workers they need, and which workers they have already chosen (as return workers or as pre-season picks). Keep out-of-country agents informed about which clients need workers Make sure resumes are flowing to clients on a regular and reasonable basis from the agents and the WPC. Ensure that recruiters have checked references for the workers they recommend Assist clients in choosing workers Confirm workers with both clients and the agents Make sure required documents have been sent to the agents when they are approved and available for clients and when workers are ready to go to the consulate. Make sure consulate dates are noted and made available to clients as soon as they are available. Make sure flight information is available to clients as soon as it is available. Note when there are problems in a worker/client relationship with clients; attempt to arbitrate and help solve problems or pass them along to the Supervisor if necessary; taking note of all results in the Placement sheet, noting them in termination/problem consoler in the database, and alerting EOC Administrator if the situation cannot be resolved and the worker leaves, let go, or is fired. Handle in-country transfers whenever a worker is joining or leaving one of the clients. Oversee the procuring of documents for all transfer workers for clients (passport, visa, i-94 card when possible, pay slips, and Approval Notice when necessary), as well as client documents (I-129's) and payment ( to the Department of Homeland Security). Answer questions from clients concerning workers, paperwork when required, and all other issues relating to workers and transfers. Help workers with family H4 visas when required-entering and overseeing the procuring of documents (same as for worker transfers plus marriage certificates and birth certificates, I-539 forms) as well as payment for the application process. Help with visa questions and problems whenever possible or required.
