Columbus, OH Job Details Part-time $20 an hour 6 hours ago Qualifications Employee relationship building Full Job Description Resettlement Case-Aide Under the direction of Program Manager, Case Aide provides resettlement support services to qualifying refugee clients in accordance with contract, organization and accreditation standards. Duties and Responsibilities Coordinate with Case Manager on all pre-arrival case activities, including housing arrangements and communications with US Ties and co-sponsors. Conduct an initial airport reception and home safety orientation for arriving refugees. Complete applications for Social Security cards, public benefits and other applicable registrations within the required time periods. Document all visits, case activity and all efforts to meet refugee needs as outlined by Operational Guidance. Provide transportation for all Refugee services as required or needed, in compliance with applicable child safety laws. Work directly with the case management team and Program Manager to ensure that services provided to immigrant are in accordance with expectations, policies and procedures determined by the Office of Refugee Resettlement (ORR). Assist clients to access culturally relevant community services, providing referrals and assistance with completing applications and referral forms. Assist with creating, filing, closing and overall daily maintenance of client records. Identify appropriate community resources, ensuring they are culturally and linguistically appropriate Send mail, email and schedule appointments for families, as needed, on behalf of the Case Manager. Support in other key areas of the program, as needed Other duties as assigned to ensure successful operation of program/department Communicate clearly and effectively, orally and in writing in English Applicable federal and state laws Administer policies, procedures and programs Interpret information, utilize critical thinking and explain concepts to others Maintain effective working relationships with agency employees at all levels and the public Defining and resolving moderately complex problems Able to provide culturally appropriate care Able to hold each other and yourself accountable to the diversity and uniqueness of all individuals within ETSS, our clients and our community stakeholders
