Social Security Intake Specialist Location:
Dayton, Ohio Firm:

We are seeking an individual to join our Dayton office and support our work representing individuals pursuing disability benefits. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys managing details, communicating with clients, gathering records, and helping move cases forward in a structured and professional way.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Serve as the first point of contact for all potential new client calls, emails, and internet leads.
  • Conduct an initial assessment of each inquiry to determine whether the firm can provide representation.
  • Accurately enter all potential new client information and inquiry outcomes into the case management system.
  • Communicate the firm's services clearly and professionally, ensuring potential clients feel heard, informed, and well-supported from the first interaction.
  • Provide required documents for signature to eligible potential clients.
  • Transfer clients to Case Managers to complete live intake appointments or schedule appointments with an Intake Case Manager based on call flow and availability.
  • Maintain an accurate and up-to-date scheduling system to support efficient intake operations and communicate scheduling information clearly to both clients and team members.
  • Monitor call and lead volume and flag capacity concerns to the Intake Team Manager.
  • Support the Intake Team Manager by maintaining records of call volume, lead sources, and scheduling activity for reporting and conversion tracking.
  • Ensure all documentation associated with potential new client contacts is complete and properly filed.
  • Support the training of new Intake Coordinators or other Intake Team members as the firm hires and grows this function, ensuring consistency in call handling, lead management, and client communication standards.
  • Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned to support the Intake Team, departmental goals, and overall firm operations.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree or some college preferred.
  • Minimum of one (1) year of experience in a customer-facing, call center, legal support, or administrative role.
  • Exceptional telephone and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage a high volume of incoming contacts accurately.
  • Proficiency in standard office productivity tools.
  • Ability to remain calm, professional, and empathetic when interacting with individuals in stressful or difficult circumstances.
  • Prior experience in a Social Security Disability, personal injury, or other high-volume legal intake setting.
  • Familiarity with Social Security Disability eligibility criteria.
  • Experience scheduling appointments or coordinating across a team.

$20.00 - $22.00 per hour
