Job Description Position Description:
DUTIES:
At Licking County Job & Family Services, we're here to support children, families, and individuals through public assistance, workforce development, and protective services. If you're someone who cares deeply about helping others and wants to make a positive impact every day, we'd love to meet you. We are looking for Public Assistance Caseworkers who bring compassion, patience, and a desire to serve. In this role, you'll help community members in need access essential programs like SNAP/Food Assistance, Medicaid, TANF, and Ohio Works First. You'll guide individuals and families through the application process, explain their options, and help ensure they receive the support they qualify for. You'll spend your days: Talking with community members by phone, face-to-face, and through our shared services call center Learning their stories, gathering information, and determining eligibility using the Ohio Benefits system Preparing notices, processing forms, and helping people understand their rights and responsibilities Connecting individuals with additional community resources when needed Working alongside a supportive team that's committed to serving the community
Brief Description:
Eligibility/Referral Specialist 2
Job Prerequisites:
Preferred Qualifications An associate degree in human services, business, accounting, or a related field and one (1) year of experience working with the public is ideal. Strong computer skills are important. Equivalent education and experience may also be considered.
Compensation:
PAY RANGE
$20.93 - $28.43 per hour (placement in pay range is dependent on experience and education)
