Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Resource Navigator to empower individuals within diverse communities by connecting them to vital social services and housing. The Resource Navigator works with the OHRA Resource Center guests to assist with basic needs, job placement, and housing assistance to set and achieve personal self- sufficiency goals. The Navigator works collaboratively with all Resource Center programs and staff including OHRA Center Shelter, Community Resource Center, Community Meals, and Laundry Shower Trailer when needed and if applicable. This position also assists with outreach activities to connect with the community outside of Ashland. Duties Meet with resource center visitor/guests to address needs and refer guests to appropriate resources in the community. Develop a housing stabilization plan if needed and appropriate. Safeguard confidentiality of all guest information. Assist guests with paperwork and applications for subsidized and affordable housing, as well as emergency housing and shelter options as appropriate. Follow up with guests to determine progress and additional options or actions. Work with community partners for funding for moving costs and assistance. Create connections with potential landlords for guest placement. Work closely with OHRA Center Shelter team to help guests find and maintain essential services, job placement and housing. Track, input, and maintain data on guests served and services provided. Data systems include Service Point, UniteUs, Excel, and all relevant systems. Provides support to resource center. Plans, schedules, and organizes complex assignments while prioritizing immediate tasks. Send out and receive correspondence to staff and volunteers on updates. Draft and edit general and specific correspondence, reports, charts, tables, and assemble confidential and sensitive information. Communication Liaison and support with other departments and outside agencies. Screen phone calls, open, sort, and summarize mail, reports and memos to appropriate area. Ensure reporting is complete for grant requirements. Work independently and within teams on special non-recurring and ongoing projects. Assist with Outreach activities, such as, Laundry Shower Trailer. All other related duties as assigned. Proven experience working with individuals from underserved communities or high-risk populations in social work or related fields. Strong knowledge of social services systems, behavioral health practices, addiction counseling, and workforce development programs. Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to document case details clearly and professionally. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) for data entry, reporting, and correspondence. Demonstrated ability to work effectively with culturally diverse communities and individuals with disabilities. Pay:
From $22.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
