Purpose of Position:

You will work closely with the Director of Disaster Recovery and Resiliency of the United Way of South Sarasota County and Disaster Case Management Supervisor to execute effective program management initiatives related to Hurricanes Helene and Milton, based on the community needs assessment. Coordinate with related agencies about hurricane disaster recovery, disaster relief, disaster resource and crisis relief. This position works directly with survivors providing case management services. Duties and Responsibilities Work directly with hurricane survivors to provide case management services. Connect survivors to available community financial resources. Identify household needs and program eligibility. Assist with advocacy and appeals. Create attainable recovery plans for disaster recovery. Identify available construction resources to repair property. Attend designated meetings and events throughout the community representing UWSSC. Facilitate connections with businesses, government, and non-profit partners to identify available resources. Conduct home visits, if necessary Maintain absolute confidentiality on all client/survivor information. Assist the survivor to determine the best course of action for both short- and long-term recovery. Performs other duties as required. Program Management Activities Collaborate closely with the Disaster Case Management Supervisor to implement best practice case management strategies. Work closely with other Case Managers to implement a comprehensive Case Management program. Work with UWSSC staff to identify program needs. Maintain official records and documents. Attend and participate in professional development opportunities. Skills and Competencies Have a passion for mission-based work and our community. Willing and able to work a flexible schedule when necessary, including some evenings and weekends. Qualifications Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience. Two years' case management experience preferred. An ability to work in a cross-functional, fast-paced work environment. Ability to use Microsoft Office Suite and Outlook Access to reliable transportation, proof of insurance, and a valid driver's license Bilingual - (English/Spanish Required).

Pay:

$59,000.00 - $62,000.00 per year
