Job Description

Responsibilities:
Outreach to inform intimate partner violence survivors of this program. Assist intimate partner violence survivors in obtaining safe, secure, scattered site housing for themselves and their dependent children. Assist clients in conducting a needs and strengths analysis with goals, objectives, and a timeline for achievement. Provide case management services, crisis intervention and prevention, make referrals, act as an advocate for clients, and facilitate program participants' access to community resources such as vocational rehabilitation, health services, childcare, transportation, food, and employment opportunities. Provide early intervention and case management services for children in the housing program. Coordinate or present life skills programs and assist clients in achieving competency in decision making. Encourage and foster independence and self-sufficiency as program participants complete their goals. Complete required notes, case summaries, intake forms, service plans, exit evaluations, summaries, and other documentation. Input direct service and collateral time into the client database management system according to the organization's policy and procedures. Perform job functions in compliance with policies and procedures and grant requirements. Attend twelve (12) hours of Victim Service Provider (VSP) training each year to remain in compliance and maintain an active status as a VSP.Qualifications:
A Bachelor's degree in social or behavioral sciences or a related field of study, or an equivalent combination of relevant education and/or work experience. Understanding intimate partner violence and its effect on survivors and their children. Ability to handle emergency/crisis situations in an independent manner. Must have a valid driver's license, reliable transportation to be used for work-related travel, and vehicle insurance.Working Conditions and Physical Demands:
