Job Description

ARMS OF HOPE MISSION
To transform the lives of disadvantaged children, youth and families by providing hope and support in a nurturing, Christian environment.
SUMMARY:
Provide support to assigned mothers in the Together Program, encouraging them mentally, physically, spiritually and educationally to improve their lives and family condition.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Plan of Service Completing regular plans of services to focus moms on goals and help them achieve spiritual, educational, physical and mental goals.
  • Housing Ensure that mothers are maintaining their house by regular inspections, inputting work orders for items that cannot be easily fixed by mothers themselves, checking the houses for cleanliness and safety.
  • Transportation Helping mothers gain transportation to necessary appointments, education and other life necessities
  • Education Assisting mothers in finding an educational path and walking with them through it. Assist in FAFSA, scholarships, enrollment in GED or higher education as necessary.
  • Life Skills Teaching and assisting in basic life skills for our moms to help them be successful in raising their family.
  • Parenting and Children Guide, teach and model good parenting, assist in finding classes or materials to help them be a good parent.
Helping moms adhere the Together Program Policy Manual and/or Recovery Policy and supporting the policies within. Other duties as assigned within the program structure.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Social Work/Psychology/Ministry or a related field or four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience required. Certificates, licenses, registrations: Current driver's license required. Other licenses (Social Work, counseling, etc.) preferred.
Other:
Must be an excellent written and verbal communicator and proficient in computer skills.
