Job Description
Purpose/Function of Position:
To provide individual and group counseling to adult and child victims of domestic violence and sexual assault and to ensure quality service delivery. Duties include, but may not be limited to the following: Provide individual and group counseling for presenting clients. Provide individual and group counseling during evenings and weekends based on client availability and agency needs. Advocate for clients by providing appropriate referrals to other agencies and resources and by providing information that enables clients to improve their quality of life. Accompany clients to court as requested and as possible. Explain the services offered by the agency and facilitate clients' access to appropriate program components. Assist with group development as opportunities and needs arise. Develop and maintain working relationships with local universities. Make public appearances, as assigned, to educate the community about the services of the agency. Participate with other staff in long-range planning as requested to ensure continuing quality service delivery to clients and the community. Ensure professional case records are maintained for clients and reporting requirements are met.Education:
Master's degree in human services field required. LPC or LMSW preferred.Qualifications:
Knowledge of the dynamics of domestic violence and sexual assault. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Bilingual in English/Spanish preferred. High level of personal integrity, diplomacy, discretion, and tact. Computer literate with proficiency in Microsoft Office products. Flexible and able to manage multiple priorities, work with minimal supervision, and meet deadlines. Ability to work non-traditional hours, including some evening and weekend hours as needed. Some travel is required; must have a valid driver's license and a personal, insured vehicle available for use on the job.To Apply:
