Foster Care Salary:
$45,000/year Full-time | In-person | Houston, TX 77058 The Sanctuary Foster Care Services is seeking a compassionate, organized Case Manager to support children and families in foster care. This position coordinates services, maintains compliance, and advocates for children while working closely with foster families, DFPS, clinicians, schools, and community partners. Key Responsibilities Manage an assigned caseload of children and foster families. Advocate for children's physical, emotional, educational, social, spiritual, and cultural needs. Serve as a liaison with DFPS and community agencies. Complete treatment/service plans within 30 days of admission and reviews every 90 days. Conduct required monthly visits with children and families. Maintain accurate case files, progress notes, reports, and electronic records. Coordinate medical, dental, behavioral health, educational, and other services. Assist with placements, transitions, and transportation as needed. Participate in rotating 24-hour on-call coverage and provide crisis intervention as needed. Maintain compliance with DFPS Minimum Standards, T3C requirements, agency policies, and applicable regulations. Attend required trainings, staff meetings, and agency activities. Complete other duties as assigned. Qualifications Bachelor's degree from an accredited university in psychology, social work, health education, or a related human services field. Must be at least 21 years old. Relevant foster care, child welfare, case management, or youth/family experience preferred. Valid driver's license, current auto insurance, and good driving record. Must pass required criminal background screening and drug testing. Ability to work flexible hours and participate in rotating on-call coverage. Strong communication, organization, documentation, critical-thinking, and time-management skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment, independently and as part of a team. Must maintain confidentiality and comply with abuse and mandated-reporting requirements. Must comply with agency standards and applicable state, federal, and local regulations.
