Are you passionate about helping people navigate the intersection of recovery, the legal system, and community resources? The Specialty Court Case Manager serves individuals who are homeless or at risk of homelessness and are involved with specialty courts and supervision programs, including Family Drug Court, Family Recovery Court, Mental Health Court, and other specialty court programs. In this role, you'll provide hands-on case management while serving as an important liaison between First Step House and specialty courts, legal agencies, and supervision programs. You'll help clients navigate their treatment requirements, connect them with housing and community resources, and advocate for their progress in treatment. You'll also have the opportunity to build strong partnerships with courts and legal entities, attend court proceedings, communicate treatment progress, and help ensure clients receive the support they need to successfully meet their program requirements. Attend court proceedings and communicate client progress, treatment participation, and program compliance. Monitor client adherence to program requirements, including drug-test results, treatment participation, and group attendance. Prepare and submit weekly treatment progress reports and other required documentation to courts and legal entities. Maintain accurate records of clients with court involvement and coordinate communication with their assigned legal agencies. Coordinate meetings between legal entities, First Step House staff, and other involved parties. Meet regularly with court-involved clients to review their legal cases, treatment progress, and program requirements. Advocate for clients while accurately and professionally communicating their progress and areas of concern. Build and maintain positive working relationships between First Step House and specialty courts, supervision programs, and community partners. Complete needs assessments and develop individualized service plans with clients. Connect clients with housing, employment, education, healthcare, and other community resources. Collaborate with counselors, case managers, clinical staff, and outside agencies to coordinate services and support client success. Assist the case management team with providing and coordinating services for clients. Track client progress and help ensure court and supervision requirements are being fulfilled. Maintain accurate and timely documentation and use internal tracking systems to support proper billing. Complete administrative tasks and other duties as needed to support the priorities of First Step House. Required Qualifications Criminal justice experience required. Bachelor's degree in social work or a related field preferred. Case management experience preferred. Experience working in the substance use disorder field preferred. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, courts, attorneys, probation/parole personnel, treatment providers, and community partners. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and competing priorities. Ability to communicate sensitive information professionally, accurately, and objectively. Strong advocacy, problem-solving, and conflict-resolution skills. Ability to maintain appropriate professional boundaries and confidentiality. Comfortable working in court settings and communicating with legal professionals and other stakeholders.
