The Case Manager coordinates services for youth participating in Morning Star's residential Behavioral Rehabilitation Services (BRS) program. Responsibilities include intake coordination, treatment planning, family engagement, Child and Family Team Meetings (CFTMs), discharge planning, case documentation, and collaboration with providers and state agencies. This position requires a trauma-informed, strengths-based approach and regular direct interaction with youth, families, schools, social workers, and community partners. Essential Functions include but are not limited to: Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these essential functions.
- Coordinate and manage individualized treatment and care plans
- Conduct assessments and assist with intake and discharge planning
- Facilitate and lead monthly Child and Family Team Meetings (CFTMs)
- Provide crisis intervention and service coordination
- Collaborate with families, social workers, schools, therapists, and community providers
- Advocate for client needs and support positive outcomes
- Maintain accurate, confidential case files and documentation
- Ensure compliance with Washington State licensing, documentation, and reporting requirements
- Prepare reports for state agencies, courts, and other stakeholders as needed
- Support youth in a therapeutic residential setting
- Transport clients using agency vehicles when required
- Participate in staff meetings, trainings, and professional development opportunities
- Perform additional duties as assigned Requirements
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Valid driver's license and insured vehicle
- Ability to pass a comprehensive FBI and state background check (includes all states lived in)
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent organizational, critical thinking, and multitasking abilities
- Ability to remain calm in emotional or high-stress situations as well as counsel youth and families
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel)
- Experience with Washington State documentation and reporting requirements
Education and Experience:
Option 1 Master's Degree in Social Work, Human Services, Psychology, Counseling, Criminal Justice, or a closely related field Option 2 Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Human Services, Psychology, Counseling, Criminal Justice, or related field Two (2) years of documented experience working with at-risk youth or families in: Mental health hospitals Juvenile rehabilitation facilities Detention centers Law enforcement or corrections Child placing agencies Residential treatment or residential care programs Youth case management settings Option 3 Associate's Degree in a related field Three (3) years of qualifying experience listed above Option 4 High School Diploma or GED Four (4) years of qualifying experience listed above Excellent Opportunity for candidates with the following backgrounds: Behavioral Health

Treatment Planning Pay:
