On the job, you would: Provide immediate and compassionate support to individuals and families facing homelessness. Conduct client intake assessments to identify needs and determine appropriate services. Develop individualized support plans in collaboration with clients. Assist clients in accessing resources such as shelter, food banks, healthcare, and employment opportunities. Advocate for clients and facilitate connections with community partner organizations. Provide crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques when needed. Maintain accurate and confidential client records. Participate in outreach activities at designated shelters and homeless service providers. Utilize Google Based technology platforms as well as other tools (e.g., SMS, video conferencing) to connect with clients remotely. Uphold a commitment to cultural competency and provide services effectively in a multilingual environment (support for 13 languages).

Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think creatively to address client challenges. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software programs. Ability to work effectively as part of a team and collaborate with various stakeholders. Strong commitment to providing culturally competent services. Fluency in English, with the ability to communicate effectively in at least one additional language.

Program Dependent Duties & Responsibilities:

May participate in evening and weekend shifts to ensure 24/7 service coverage. May conduct on-site outreach at various locations throughout Pierce County. May utilize Google based technology platforms sand other tools such as SMS and video conferencing to connect with clients remotely. May be required to complete additional training related to homelessness, crisis intervention, and cultural competency. To perform this job successfully, an individual must have excellent written communication skills in order to complete all required documentation and effectively communicate client progress. Applicants with specialized training in client engagement, motivational interviewing, conflict resolution, harm reduction, early childhood development and trauma informed care, are preferred. Experience:

High school or equivalent is required A personal connection to people experiencing homelessness. One year of any combination of experience is required, three years of direct experience is preferred Trained/trainable to provide Trauma-informed Care Trained/trainable in Motivational Interviewing, De-escalation, Conflict Resolution, and Crisis Intervention Excellent computer and keyboarding skills, including Google Workspace Ability to provide recovery oriented, person-centered support services that are voluntary, and relationship focused Experience in running meetings and delegating tasks Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing in English Ability to maintain positive interpersonal skills across a broad range of professional situations Ability to meet deadlines Knowledge of area service providers and community resources Knowledge of similar community programs Other Requirements Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Ability to navigate stairs, ladders, ramps and uneven terrain Ability to sit for uniterupted hour long phone call while typing.
