Job Description

Blueprints is hiring : Community Based Caseworker in
Parkersburg, WV Qualifications:
Bachelor Degree in Social Work or Related Field Regular and reliable attendance is essential. Possess working knowledge of the agency's organizational structure, goals, procedures, and contractual agreements. Maintain a caseload of 8-20 participants; establish positive relationships and ensure all program goals are being addressed and attained. Assessing client and/or family needs through conducting interviews and observations. Provide support, resources, and assistance to participants which may include providing parenting education, conducting family visitations, providing family support intervention services, as well as referrals to community resources and programs. Provide case management for any participant accepted; complete, submit, and file any corresponding written documentation and billings by required deadlines. Attend court hearings and meetings scheduled by the referring agency pertaining to clients. Available 24/ hour on call rotation to handle emergency and crisis intervention. Develop a working knowledge of other community agencies, and their services, for the purpose of assessing a client's suitability for services through these agencies. Advocate for participants' rights and access to services to support prevention or reunification efforts. Understand and maintain compliance with all federal, state, and local laws and regulations and maintain compliance with agency policies. Additionally, depending on the referring agency, current personnel, and other varying factors, caseworkers may be required to assist with additional assignments. Perform such other duties as assigned by manager or director. Some evening and weekend hours required.
