Job Description

Job Overview The Central Alabama Aging Consortium is a part of the state network of Area Agencies on Aging, a public service agency dedicated to helping persons aged 60 and over, adults with disabilities and their families to access needed community services in Montgomery, Autauga and Elmore Counties. Make a difference in the lives of adults with disabilities and older persons by providing support for them to remain in their homes! We are seeking qualified candidates for the position of Part Time Bilingual Coordinator.

Responsibilities:

Translates Agency forms/ policies Acts as Interpreter for bi-lingual clients/ vendors/ public Performs program outreach functions in the community Explains resources, goals and eligibility requirements to clients and other service providers Assists Program Managers in all forms of communication/ translations Connects participants with community resources

Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree preferred At least two (2) years of customer service or case management experience required Fluency in English & Spanish required Valid driver's license required and the ability to travel within the tri-county area United States citizenship required Effective verbal and written communication skills Attention to detail Passion for serving the Elderly and Disabled Must pass a Drug Screening and background check

Benefits:

RSA State retirement Flexible schedule This is a part time opportunity (24 hours weekly), schedule is flexible but will need to be within the Agency business hours of 8:00am - 4:30pm Monday through Friday. Local travel may be required.
