Job Description

We're looking for a warm, driven Outreach Coordinator to help us grow our reach, deepen our community partnerships, and tell our story in ways that inspire action. You'll be a key voice in shaping how we engage our community, and you'll bring real data insight to the table, helping us understand what's working, spot trends, and make smarter, evidence-based decisions about where to focus our efforts. Learn more about our work at startingoverinc.org Responsibilities Community Engagement & Outreach Partner with other teams to shape outreach strategies that bring our mission to life. Build genuine relationships with community organizations, schools, businesses, and other stakeholders. Plan and lead community events, workshops, and meetings that raise awareness of our programs. Organize and execute outreach campaigns, handling logistics, venues, budgets, and volunteer coordination. Team up with our communications team on brochures, newsletters, social media, and website content. Recruit, train, and mentor volunteers who power our outreach work. Contribute to advocacy campaigns that mobilize our community and amplify our voice. Data & Insights Go beyond basic data entry: analyze outreach and engagement data to uncover trends and opportunities. Build and maintain dashboards and reports that track outreach performance and program reach. Translate data into clear, compelling insights for leadership, funders, and community partners. Design simple surveys and feedback tools, then interpret results to improve future outreach. Support grant and funder reporting with accurate, well-organized data and outcome metrics. Recommend data-informed adjustments to outreach strategy based on what the numbers show. What we're looking for Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, public relations, or a related field, or equivalent experience. Experience in statistics or data analysis is a strong plus. Experience in outreach, community engagement, or public relations; nonprofit experience is a plus A genuine passion for our mission and making a positive impact in the community. Spanish language skills are a plus, but not required. Skills That Will Help You Thrive Strong verbal and written communication. Confident with Microsoft Excel, Google Forms/Sheets, and data visualization or reporting tools. Analytical thinking and creative problem-solving. Strong leadership and team management abilities. Excellent interpersonal skills and active listening. Solid organizational and project management skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
