Job Description
Position Summary Catholic Charities of Northwest California (CCNWC) seeks a part-time Parish Coordinator to deepen relationships with Catholic parishes across the North Coast and North Bay service area and strengthen parish-based support for our mission. The Parish Coordinator will serve as a vital bridge between Catholic Charities of Northwest California and local parish communities—promoting awareness, service, and philanthropy rooted in Catholic social teaching. This position will focus on building strong parish partnerships that increase engagement and help achieve annual fundraising goals through parish appeals, second collections, and special initiatives. The Parish Coordinator is a hybrid/remote position covering Sonoma, Napa, Lake, Mendocino, Humboldt, and Del Norte counties. Essential Functions Parish Relationship Building 1. Serve as the primary liaison between Catholic Charities and assigned parishes, maintaining regular communication with pastors, deacons, and parish staff. 2. Coordinate parish visits, pulpit talks, and ministry presentations highlighting CCNWC's impact and opportunities for engagement. 3. Support pastors and parish leaders in scheduling parish appeals, second collections, and special giving opportunities. 4. Represent CCNWC at parish and diocesan events, building trust and visibility. Fundraising and Development Support 1. Collaborate with the Development team to help achieve annual parish-based fundraising goals (e.g., total dollars raised, number of parishes participating, donor acquisition). 2. Promote and coordinate parish participation in diocesan-wide or seasonal campaigns (e.g., Lent, Advent, or Caritas-focused drives). 3. Identify and cultivate parish donors and ministry leaders as potential ongoing supporters or ambassadors. 4. Provide timely feedback and insights from parishes to inform fundraising strategies and messaging. 5. Support in-kind giving needs including compilation of needs for in-kind gifts from programs, 6. outreach to community to secure in-kind gifts, keep records od gift, and acknowledge gifts. Education and Outreach 1. Share CCNWC impact stories, educational materials, and Catholic social teaching resources that inspire parish giving and service. 2. Coordinate and distribute weekly parish bulletin content, flyers, and announcements in collaboration with the Communications team. 3. Support volunteer engagement and parish-based service activities as part of holistic parish partnership development. Reporting and Coordination 1. Track parish engagement activities, contacts, and giving outcomes for weekly upload to CRM. 2. Submit monthly reports summarizing outreach activities, funds raised, and parish engagement metrics. 3. Participate in periodic team meetings and contribute to quarterly planning discussions. Fundraising Goals 1. Meet specific Annual Targets adjusted based on service area and contract scope. One Agency 1. Support the Mission, Vision, and Values of Catholic Charities in the performance of all essential job functions and responsibilities. 2. Ability to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodations to the workplace or work processes. Other Responsibilities 1. 1.Work with Diocese of Santa Rosa. 2. Evening and weekend availability required for parish events and Masses. 3. Perform other related duties as assigned.
