SMARTS Powered by DanceMakers is seeking a dynamic, organized, and community-driven Site Coordinator / Community Outreach Lead to support our expanding out-of-school-time (OST) programming across multiple school sites in Washington, DC and Prince George's County, MD . SMARTS is a STEM and arts-integrated program delivering high-quality afterschool programming that supports academic achievement, social-emotional learning, and student enrichment across numerous school communities. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, youth-centered environment , enjoys building relationships, and is passionate about making a meaningful impact in schools and communities. Key Responsibilities Serve as the primary point of contact between SMARTS and school leadership teams Coordinate and implement community outreach initiatives and events Recruit and onboard students and program staff Collaborate with teachers and school teams to develop targeted plans of action to support student success Assess community needs to inform program design, scope, and goals Track, analyze, and report program data to measure impact (including follow-ups and engagement metrics) Maintain and strengthen relationships with funders, school partners, and community stakeholders Develop and manage site event calendars and programming schedules Plan and execute family engagement activities and workshops Train and support staff in outreach, program delivery, and student engagement Support staff in the development of lesson plans and activity implementation Step in to lead programming and facilitate activities as needed, including staff coverage when team members are absent What We're Looking For Strong communication and relationship-building skills Experience in education, youth development, community outreach, or program coordination Ability to manage multiple priorities across different sites Passion for working with youth and diverse communities Highly organized, proactive, and solutions-oriented Why Join SMARTS?
