Job Description
Position Summary The Marketing / Culture Specialist works to establish and maintain relationships with community organizations, stakeholders and target populations to increase awareness of programs, services and resources offered by Hamilton Center, Inc. The position serves as a liaison between the organization and the community, conducting outreach activities, presentations and educational events to promote engagement, participation, and access to services. The position helps support the philosophy, policies, procedures, systems and strategic goals set forth by the leadership team. This position also helps with promoting, strengthening, and sustaining a positive organizational culture that aligns with mission, vision, and values. This position works collaboratively with leadership, Human Resources, and staff to develop and implement initiatives that enhance employee engagement, inclusion, communication, recognition, and overall workplace experience. Essemtial Duties/Responsibilities To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Works to develop and implement outreach strategies to increase awareness of organizational programs, services, and resources. Build and maintain positive relationships with community organizations and referral sources. Have knowledge of Hamilton Center's programs and services by geographic location and division - constantly keep updated on changes in services. Have a clear understanding of Hamilton Center's target market(s) in each area served. Participate in relevant team/clinical meetings. Maintain accurate records of outreach activities and outcomes. Collect community feedback and identify trends, barriers, and service gaps. Enter and maintain data in organizational databases and reporting systems. Adhere to facility and department standards concerning conduct, dress, attendance and punctuality. Initiate events designed to attract and educate referral sources and consumers, i.e., community events, health fairs, breakfasts, etc. Initiate tours, public speaking events and other outreach opportunities to promote services and programs. Conducts community outreach and education to raise awareness about the health insurance coverage exchange to assist consumers in enrollment options. Works with the Navigation Department as it relates to healthcare consumer needs. Work within a specified budget. Facilitate or coordinate training programs related to organizational culture, communication, teamwork, customer service, and inclusion. Assist in developing educational materials and resources related to workplace culture. Identify trends, opportunities, and areas of concern impacting organizational culture. Provide guidance and support for culture-related projects and organizational changes. Prepare outreach materials, presentations, displays, and promotional resources. Perform other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications/Requirements Bachelor's degree in behavioral health area, marketing, business administration or related field. Minimum of two years' experience in health care business development, marketing, or relevant field. Knowledge of behavioral health is preferred Must possess excellent written and verbal skills Must be able to maintain professional rapport with all stakeholders Willingness to use personal transportation in work capacity Skills in gathering, analyzing, and interpreting data Good problem solving and time management skills Customer focused philosophy of doing business Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Excellent organizational skills to prioritize workload and coordinate own activities with others Knowledge of computer software and use of the Internet—Microsoft Word products preferred - Outlook, Word, Excel, and Access Knowledge of internal/external healthcare environments Ability to use solid judgment and adhere to confidentiality requirements Ability to work in a team environment using tact, resourcefulness, patience and dedication Ability to work in a fast-paced business environment and meet deadlines Ability to react calmly and effectively in urgent/emergency situations Certificates, Licenses, Registrations Valid driver's license in accordance with HCI motor vehicle policy. Maintain current Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) certification Maintain current American Red Cross / CPR/1st Aid certification Maintain current State Navigators License to assist consumers and potential consumers with health insurance, SNAP and TANF Work Environment Staff should report to their designated HCI office each day and are expected to complete paperwork, computer work etc. in office. Some job-related activities are performed in the community. Travel within Hamilton Center's service area is expected. Evening and weekend hours are worked as Center and civic events are scheduled. Professional attire must be worn during working hours. Stressful situations present themselves regarding deadlines and commitments.
