Job Description

Job Summary:
The Community Engagement and Outreach Coordinator provides community engagement and outreach activities for both the Louisiana Clinical and Translational (LACaTS) Center and the Center for Minority Health and Health Disparities Research and Education. The Coordinator works with community groups and health care providers. Additionally, the incumbent will coordinate the activities of the LACaTS' New Orleans Community Advisory Board and provide support to the LACaTS' personnel coordinating the Baton Rouge and Shreveport Community Advisory Boards. For the Center (CMHDRE) the coordinator facilitates collaboration with community organizations and coordinates the activities of both the External (Scientific) Advisory Board and the Community Advisory Board. The incumbent will coordinate internal and external meetings of the CMHDRE and the Community Engagement and Outreach Resource Core (CEOR) of LACaTS. The coordinator provides administrative support the Director of CMHDRE and the LACaTS' CEOR.
AA/EOE Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelors degree
Preferred Qualifications:
Master's degree ( MPH or MHA ) or equivalent experience in community or organizational engagement preferred. Extensive community engagement experience.
