In this paid role, you will champion cultural exchange initiatives, facilitate community outreach programs, and support the placement and well-being of international students and host families. Your enthusiasm for fostering cross-cultural understanding and your ability to manage volunteer and host family relationships will drive the success of our programs. Responsibilities Develop and implement community outreach strategies to engage culturally diverse populations and promote exchange programs. Coordinate with host families to conduct needs assessments, behavioral evaluations, and matching processes using our host family algorithm matching system. Organize community events, orientation sessions, and cultural activities that enhance participant engagement and foster a welcoming environment. Manage volunteer recruitment, training, scheduling, and supervision to ensure smooth program operations. Conduct interviews with prospective host families and students, assessing suitability based on health, safety regulations, and cultural compatibility. Maintain ongoing communication with clients, families, students, and partner organizations through social media platforms and direct outreach efforts. Assist in the recruitment process by identifying potential host families and community partners aligned with program goals. Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and behavioral standards related to host family placements and cultural exchange activities. Experience Prior experience working with culturally diverse communities or in international volunteer programs is highly preferred. Demonstrated success in community outreach, event planning, or volunteer management roles. Knowledge of government-sponsored cultural exchange programs or high school exchange initiatives is advantageous. Experience in host family placement or behavioral assessments enhances candidate suitability. Strong communication skills across social media channels and in-person interactions are essential. Background in social work, teaching, or working with students from diverse backgrounds will support effective engagement. Proven ability to coordinate multiple tasks such as recruiting, interviewing, matching, and organizing community events efficiently.
