Position Details:
Mercy Neighborhood Ministry Outreach Coordinator Position Summary The Mercy Neighborhood Ministry Outreach Coordinator serves as a liaison between Mercy and the communities we serve, fostering relationships that support Mercy's mission of providing compassionate care and addressing community needs. This role is responsible for coordinating outreach initiatives, building partnerships with community organizations, engaging participants in ministry programs, and supporting efforts that promote health, wellness, and well-being throughout the community. Key Responsibilities Develop and maintain strong relationships with community partners, faith-based organizations, social service agencies, and other stakeholders. Coordinate and support community outreach programs, events, and ministry initiatives aligned with Mercy's mission and strategic goals. Identify community needs and collaborate with internal and external partners to connect individuals and families with available resources. Represent Mercy at community events, meetings, and outreach activities. Assist with planning, implementation, and evaluation of outreach programs and community engagement efforts. Track outreach activities, program participation, and outcomes, preparing reports as needed. Promote awareness of Mercy services, programs, and resources within the community. Support volunteer engagement and community partnership opportunities. Foster an inclusive, welcoming, and compassionate environment for all community members. Ensure compliance with organizational policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements. Qualifications Education Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Public Health, Community Development, Ministry, Human Services, or a related field preferred. Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. Experience Experience in community outreach, ministry, nonprofit organizations, healthcare, social services, or related fields preferred. Experience coordinating programs, events, or community partnerships strongly preferred. Skills & Abilities Excellent interpersonal, relationship-building, and communication skills. Strong organizational and project coordination abilities. Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with multidisciplinary teams. Knowledge of community resources and social service networks preferred. Demonstrated commitment to serving diverse populations with compassion and respect. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and data tracking systems. Working Conditions Regular local travel within the community may be required. Flexible work schedule, including occasional evenings or weekends to support outreach events and community activities. Why Mercy?
