The Community Engagement Coordinator will report directly to the Development Director. This position will assist with event planning (e.g., the Annual Building a Stronger Habitat for Humanity - BASHH fundraiser, Family Fun Day, Volunteer/Donor Appreciation dinner) and be responsible for cultivating and expanding donor relationships, especially with mid- and base-level donors. This position works directly with the Homeowner Services Director and Qualified Loan Originator (QLO) to orient and mentor Habitat Partner Families. This position actively recruits volunteers for specific roles on-site and off-site (e.g., construction work crews, office volunteers) and for the ReStore. The position is responsible for maintaining records of all volunteers and their skills, and ensuring all volunteers are recognized and appreciated. This position includes added administrative duties as assigned. This position creates a welcoming, safe, inclusive, and mission-centered volunteer experience from initial inquiry through follow-up, with an emphasis on retention and continued involvement.Essential Duties and Responsibilities and Expectations:
Fundraising- Contribute to strategy development and implementation
- Supporting/assist the Development Director in management and maintenance of donor database, including data entry and gift acknowledgment Prospect, outreach, and stewardship of corporate sponsors/community partners Outline corporate sponsor packages/levels and benefits; ensure benefits are met
- Support and participate in Fundraising events
- Plan and execute BASHH and Family Fun Day and the annual Volunteer/Donor Appreciation dinner o Work with the Development Director to secure sponsorships as needed Communications
- Manage the organization's social media outreach
- Manage and work with the appropriate parties to maintain the organization's website.
- Develop and publish regular print and electronic newsletters. o Monthly UPdate e-blast to be sent out to the network of volunteers and interested parties.
- Responsible for photojournalism for the affiliate. o Takes job site photos throughout the construction phases from excavation to dedication. o Takes photos or arranges for photos to be taken of Habitat-affiliated events. o Transfers photos to the Habitat computer network in a timely manner and is responsible for maintaining the historical memory of the affiliate. - Recruits volunteers for the construction job site, the ReStore, the office, and committees.
- Responsible for recruiting committee members and conducting orientation with anyone wanting to become a regular volunteer.
- Organizes work schedules for work groups in coordination with the Construction Supervisor.
- Acts as a liaison between volunteers and the Construction Supervisor.
- Develops a working knowledge of Habitat construction activities and communicates site expectations, safety requirements, and day-of information clearly to volunteers.
- Work closely with the ReStore General Manager to determine the volunteer needs of the store and actively recruit for those positions.
- Work closely with Administration/Program staff to determine the needs for additional administrative assistance or front office receptionist help.
- Work closely with management to recruit for volunteer needs to create successful fundraising events.
- Form and strengthen relationships and partnerships with community groups to solicit and obtain volunteers. For example, Local universities, businesses, churches, service clubs, etc. o Work with community partners to secure donated lunches for the construction site.
- Attend Volunteer Network meetings and/or other groups determined to be important to furthering the knowledge and connection to community groups.
- Attend and participate in planning for all Habitat-related activities (i.e., Annual Meeting, wall-raising ceremonies, Dedications, Fundraising Events, etc.).
- All groups from any organization, including community service labor, are required to sign in and out utilizing the current volunteer system.
- Responsible for the database software management of volunteer information, including but not limited to volunteer hours and advertising volunteer opportunities, by utilizing the chosen software of Habitat for Humanity Mid-Yellowstone Valley along with external software provided by organizations such as but not limited to United Way and Just Serve.
- Track volunteer recruitment, participation, retention, outreach activities, and other engagement measures to evaluate and strengthen community engagement efforts. o Volunteer hour reports should be available and sent to the organization upon request. o Responsible for reporting sweat equity hours of the partner families to the Homeowner Services Director QLO.
- Ensures all volunteers are thanked for their contributions. This includes updating the volunteer database, sending follow-up invitations to house dedications, and undertaking periodic thank-you campaigns.
- Gathers volunteer feedback, identifies opportunities to improve the service experience, and develops strategies that encourage volunteers and groups to return.
- Responsible for the distribution, collection, and filing of liability waivers. o Works with the appropriate staff member or performs background checks on all regular volunteers. o Ensures all regular volunteers complete a liability waiver once every year. Office
- Works directly with the Habitat for Humanity Mid-Yellowstone Valley Partner Families.
- ALL accidents must be reported via an Accident Report Form. It is the responsibility of the person who witnessed the accident (staff member or responsible volunteer) to write the accident report. The original is given to the Executive Director for review. The report is then sent to the Community Engagement Coordinator, who maintains the records in accordance with the retention policy.
- A Monthly Report of activities and accomplishments is required to be completed and delivered to the Development Director by the date and time requested.

Physical Demands & Working Conditions:
- Work involves both outdoor and office environments. In the office environment, the employee is protected from weather conditions and contaminants, but not necessarily from occasional temperature changes.
- While working outdoors, the employee may not be protected from weather conditions.
- Must be willing to work on active residential construction sites, navigate uneven terrain and unfinished structures, wear required personal protective equipment, follow all site safety procedures, and actively support volunteers in a hands-on environment.
- Employee is regularly exposed to on-street driving and moving vehicles.
- Physical demands require nearly continuous hearing, listening, talking, and lifting up to 30 pounds.
- Requires frequent sitting, repetitive hand motions (such as keyboarding), standing, walking, bending, stooping, climbing stairs, and pulling and pushing objects.
- Employee must occasionally climb ladders, kneel, squat, crouch, balance, reach overhead, use a shovel, and lift up to 50 pounds.
- Requires close attention to detail with frequent deadlines and internal and external social interaction.
- Work hours are generally Tuesday through Saturday, 8 AM to 4 PM, and may include early morning and/or evening meetings and events.
