Job Description

AmeriCorps Member - Community Health Corps Montana Service Opportunity in Bozeman & Pablo, Montana Full-time | September 14 - July 30, 2027 | Stipend + Education Award | Montana-based Join Community Health Corps Montana (CHCM) and spend 10.5 months making a meaningful impact across Montana by expanding health access, reducing stigma, and strengthening community partnerships.
What You'll Do:
Serve ~40 hours/week at a local organization (clinic, nonprofit, or public agency) Support education, outreach, data, and systems improvement in one or more focus areas: Mental health, Substance use recovery, Chronic disease prevention and/or Social Drivers of health (housing, food, access to care) Gain hands-on experience in public health, community engagement, and nonprofit systems Members serving in local food systems roles will support projects that strengthen access to local, traditional, and nutritious foods in rural and tribal communities. Activities may include coordinating partners across food hubs, producers, food pantries, and community organizations; supporting food sovereignty education; helping with garden-based learning, cooking, food preservation, and community workshops; creating accessible outreach materials; and assisting with events that connect people to local food resources and cultural food knowledge. This opportunity offers hands-on experience in food access, community education, local food systems, cultural learning, and rural or tribal community engagement.
